This is a one pot meal and may be made in stages.
This meal may be assembled in advance, including browning the chicken, refrigerated and put into the oven to cook for one hour while you are preparing green beans and mushrooms.

8 pieces chicken
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 teaspoons sage
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
3 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup butter
1 cup water
8 medium potatoes, scrubbed or peeled
1/4 cup butter
1 pound green beans
1/2 pound mushrooms

Rub chicken with lemon juice . Combine sage, ginger, salt and pepper; sprinkle half over chicken. Melt 1/4 c butter in Dutch oven; brown chicken; add water and potatoes, cover and bake 45 minutes, 350 degrees. 15 minutes before serving, blend remaining seasonings in a skillet with 1/4 c butter; saute green beans and mushrooms. Remove chicken and potatoes to sauté pan and keep warm. Reduce juice in Dutch oven by half; return chicken and vegetables to Dutch oven and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
