Standing Chickens on the Grill

By George Gay
Prepare the grill for roasting
Whole chickens, plan 1/2 chicken for each person
1 empty aluminum beverage can per chicken
Wash chickens inside and out with cold water and dry.
Place 1/4 cup Holland Grill Carolina Seasoning in a paper bag, shake whole chicken in the bag to coat with seasoning.
Repeat process for each chicken being prepared.
Mix 3 parts Holland Grill Carolina Sauce with 1 part vinegar, fill each can 1/3 full with marinade mixture.
Place the can inside the chicken, legs down so chickens appear to stand on the grill.
Close the grill and cook for approximately 70 minutes at approximately 350 degrees.
Basting is done from the inside the can, no need to lift the grill cover.
When you open the lid you loose about 10 minutes of cooking time.
