Peaches and Whipped Cream
2 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon sugar, as needed
Pour lime juice over sliced peaches to prevent
discoloration; add sugar to taste and set aside at room temperature
to macerate.
Whipped Cream
1/2 cup whipping cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Whip cream in a small chilled bowl until peaks
form, add sugar and extract and whip to blend. Store in refrigerator
until ready to serve.
Divide peaches between two small bowls, top with whipped cream. Serve
immediately.
