Apple Tort
This easy dessert recipe does require cake flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups cake flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/3 cup milk
3 pounds Golden Delicious apples
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter

Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Beat eggs and add half of sugar; beat in flour and baking powder and spices; beat in milk. Place 10 inch oiled springform pan on baking sheet; pour batter into pan; arrange apple slices in concentric circles on top of batter and press them into the batter a bit. Drizzle the top with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until firm to the touch. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes. Release the sides and serve on cake plate.
