Apple Cobbler
filling
4 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon allspice

Pour 4 tablespoons melted butter into 8x8 baking pan, toss apples with seasoning and place on top of butter.

8 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine butter, sugar, mile and egg. Combine dry ingredients and stir into egg mixture and beat until smooth. Spoon in 1/4 cup portions on top of apples. Bake in 375 degree oven 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
