Country Style Steak
1 1/2 pound round steak, cut into 3 strips across
width of steak
Salt and Pepper for both sides
1 cup flour
Cooking oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
6 ounce can beef stock
Salt and pepper steak on both sides, pound
flour into meat with mallet; allow to rest. Heat oil in large skillet.
Dredge steak in flour just before putting it into the hot skillet. Brown
on both sides, turning once. Remove to warm plate and add onions to
the pan, place steak on top of onions, add stock, cover and place in
350 degree oven for about an hour.
